Hi! I’m Amanda

Hi, I’m Amanda. Welcome to The Hesitant Prodigal. I share what I’ve learned on my spiritual journey over 40-something years. I wasn’t raised in any particular faith; my single mom encouraged me to explore belief and faith for myself. Along the way I sampled many paths — New Age, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, Sufism, Universal Unitarianism — and always, Christ kept drawing me in. There were times when the actions of those who called themselves Christian pushed me away, but truthfully, what I yearned for was not a human imitation of faith — but a relationship with Jesus, as described in the New Testament. This blog is a place for honest exploration: spiritual growth, biblical truth, faith in everyday life — always with Jesus as my True North. I don’t write to argue or convince. I write to share the love that created us — a love beyond what we often understand. My hope is that something here encourages you, gives peace, stirs hope — and inspires you to share that love, too.
